How Dwellix Pty Ltd collects, uses and protects your personal information under the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. Who we are
This policy explains how Dwellix Pty Ltd (ABN 11 695 579 723, Victorian builder registration CDB-U 102264) ("Dwellix", "we", "us") handles personal information. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Our address is 10 John Hunter Court, Mill Park VIC 3082 and you can contact us at office@dwellix.com.au.
2. What we collect
- Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and suburb or property address.
- Project details: what you tell us in our enquiry and feasibility forms, such as the design you are interested in, your budget range, timing and how you heard about us.
- Property documents: title documents or plans you choose to upload. These can contain your name, property address and details of other owners.
- Marketing preferences: whether you have opted in to receive project inspiration and offers.
- Website usage information: pages viewed, device and browser type, the page or ad that referred you, and campaign details. We store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address with enquiries to help prevent spam and fraud, not the address itself.
We do not ask for sensitive information such as health details. Please do not include it in a form.
3. How we collect it
We collect information when you fill in a form on our website, email or call us, meet us on site or in person, or interact with our social media pages or ads. Some usage information is collected automatically through cookies and similar tools (see section 6).
4. Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and assess whether a secondary dwelling suits your property.
- To check property, zoning and planning details where you have provided documents.
- To prepare designs, proposals, quotes and building contracts.
- To manage your project if you go ahead with Dwellix.
- To send you marketing, only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To measure and improve our website and advertising.
- To meet our legal obligations, including building and record keeping requirements.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where needed for the purposes above:
- Consultants working on your project, such as architects, draftspeople, engineers and building surveyors, and only with your knowledge.
- A finance broker we work with, if you ask for help with finance or agree to be contacted about it. The broker is a related party of Dwellix and handles your information under its own privacy obligations.
- Service providers that run our website and systems (listed below).
- Government bodies, councils or regulators where required by law.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.

6. Cookies and advertising
Our website uses cookies and similar technology to understand how people use the site and to measure our advertising. Google and Meta may use this information to show you Dwellix ads on their platforms. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google ad personalisation in your Google account, and manage ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings. Blocking cookies should not stop you using our forms.
7. Sending information overseas
Some of our service providers store information outside Australia, mainly in the United States and the European Union. We choose providers that protect information to a standard similar to Australian law.
8. Keeping it secure
We use secure, access controlled cloud services, encrypted connections and spam protection. Uploaded documents can only be accessed by authorised Dwellix staff. We keep information only as long as needed for your enquiry or project and our legal record keeping obligations. Enquiry records and uploaded documents are kept for 7 years after our last contact with you or the end of your project, whichever is later, and then deleted or de-identified.
9. Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing office@dwellix.com.au. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first.
10. Complaints
If you have a privacy concern, email office@dwellix.com.au with the details. We will acknowledge it within 5 business days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated. See also our Website Terms of Use.
